Tyler re-entered private practice after serving as a trial attorney in the Office of the United States Trustee, where he represented the U.S. Department of Justice's interest as "watchdog" of the federal bankruptcy system. While at the U.S. Trustee's office, Tyler litigated matters of fraud and abuse, consumer protection, and corporate reorganizations. Prior to his stint with the government, Tyler represented individuals and businesses of all sizes in financial workouts, liquidations, and restructuring under the Bankruptcy Code. In the course of his legal career, Tyler has counseled borrowers, lenders, trustees, committees, shareholders, vendors, and landlords in nearly all aspects of chapters 7, 9, 11, 12, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, and related matters of commercial litigation.
